We offer our upstairs space in the cafe for parties of up to 15. Our luxurious space is perfect for intimate gatherings, special occasions, business lunches, and celebrations. Please note the area is within our cafe.
We offer a relaxing space to spend with your loved ones and little ones are always welcome. If requested, we can even adapt our afternoon teas so they are the perfect child-friendly size and include crustless sandwiches if preferred.
We do hold some tables for walk-ins for afternoon teas on a first-come-first-serve basis, up until 3 p.m. Although, we do advise booking to secure a table.

From Cardiff Castle's main gates, cross the road onto the High Street and walk for 30 seconds. Barker Tea House is nestled in the heart of High Street Arcade.
From Central Station, walk to St Mary Street, then head towards Cardiff Castle. We're on the right, then head inside High Street Arcade, where you will find Barker Tea House.
Our afternoon teas can be created vegan-friendly, vegetarian, or gluten-free. Please speak to a member of staff for any dietary requirements, when making your reservation.

Truly a cosy place to stay for delicious tea and scones.
It was my first time at Barker Tea House but I will definitely return. It's a lovely place with delicious tea and scones. The Staff are great too. If you are visiting Cardiff or you live there this is a place you must visit :)
